Ramsey Electrical was founded in October 2022, by our director – James Hope. Based in East Lothian, the business has quickly evolved from a small venture, into a reliable and reputable electrical contractor. As the business has grown, so has our team, who share our company values and are committed to providing high-quality workmanship.
Our core values as a business are Trust & Transparency – both with our clients, and our employees.
With regards to our clients and project work, we always take a friendly, proactive approach. We welcome the opportunity to become active in a project as early as possible, happy to assist the design team when finalising detailed design. Working together to help address any buildability challenges, and minimising any issues that may arise.
We are keen to expand our project sector portfolio, and would like to develop strong, long-lasting relationships with new clients and construction partners.
We are a Select approved electrical contracting company.

MEET THE TEAM
We have a dedicated site team who prioritise professionalism and efficiency. We also know how important it is to focus on investing in our apprentices. We want to support them with their growth in the business, by nurturing their abilities and encouraging their progression. It gives us great pleasure seeing their enthusiasm as they develop their skills.
Director
James Hope
James has significant knowledge and experience throughout varying sectors within the electrical industry. With over 30 years in the trade, starting as an electrical apprentice and working his way through to Contracts Manager level, before establishing Ramsey Electrical Services Ltd in 2022.
Technical Director
Ross Connerton
Ross has over 25 years electrical industry experience, in both project management and consulting engineering roles. With a vast depth of knowledge, which reinforces our project management resource, whilst adding preconstruction design management, and electrical design capability to the business.
Business Manager
Stacey McDonald
Stacey comes from an accounting background, with over 30 years’ experience in both practice & industry. Having worked with start-ups in the past, Stacey will oversee the growth and development of the business, while also being responsible for the financial management of the company.
Operations Manager
Neil Laidlaw
We're excited to welcome Neil to the Ramsey Electrical Services team! With 33 years of experience in the electrical industry, Neil brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our company. From industrial electrical work to commercial installs and facilities management, his varied background will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to our team. We're looking forward to seeing the impact his skills and experience will have on our projects and clients.
